LANGUAGE SCHOOL

The English Studio Language School located in Bila Tserkva, Ukraine has been proudly serving those who wish to learn English since 2010. Over the years the school has helped thousands of people aged 5 and older to improve their English language skills and achieve new horizons in life. The school’s mission is to improve people’s lives by providing them with quality education and becoming the most trustworthy language school. The English Studio offers its community rigorous education as well as connection of learning to the demands of the modern world.

Building relationships between teachers and students is a foundation of successful learning at The English Studio. The team believes that an efficient learning process occurs when a RAPPORT between a teacher and student is being built. Safe and welcoming atmosphere, love for the learning environment, connections and experience exchange are all about The English Studio.

In 2010, the school started with only two teachers and about 40 students. Over the years, the school has become the biggest and most successful in the city with 400 students attending the school. Many of the students have reached top results in language learning and received 200 points out of 200 possible at independent state testing. However, what makes the school unique is that the majority of the students say that their attitude towards learning foreign languages has shifted. After attending The English Studio students who considered learning languages to be their weakness have begun loving English and the language learning process. The English Studio approach is based on meeting student’s needs in language acquisition. First and foremost, in order to build an effective learning plan, it is crucial to understand the current English language level of the students. That is why we start our work with the student by identifying his or her English level with the Level Diagnostic Tool. As the tool is developed in the way that provides us with the exact information on the student’s language needs, we place the students in groups of five with the same language level. This allows the student to learn in an efficient and productive way. Secondly, the teachers of the school are inspired and passionate professionals who travel to different countries in order to enhance their professional development. When creating learning opportunities for the students, teachers think about both rigor and present-day skills needed to succeed in the modern world.

One of the recent developments happening at school is implementing project-based learning into the curriculum. Moving forward into the future, society needs to think about new ways of knowledge and skills acquisition as the industrial approach that worked one hundred years ago does not serve the needs of the present day work force and institutions. Project based learning provides hands-on learning experiences attuned to the demands of today’s world.
